I made illustrations and maps that feature heavily in this BBC series, in which Dr Sam Willis travels the Silk Road from Xi’an to Venice. The drawings were pasted into the journal that Sam carries, and serve to illustrate the different places, peoples and figures he speaks about on the way. The maps were also scanned in and used frequently as full screen graphics in each episode. I also designed the titles for the series.
